How we research, compare, and disclose
Japan Legible is built to support decisions. Our process is designed to make clear what was confirmed, what was tested, what was inferred, and what remains unknown.
Define the decision
Every article begins with a specific reader, use case, and decision. We do not compare every feature simply because it exists.
Use primary sources
We begin with official product documentation, pricing, terms, public data, and original Japanese sources whenever available.
Separate research from testing
A research-based comparison is not presented as a hands-on review. When we use a product ourselves, we state the plan, environment, date, and scope of the test.
Compare by use case
A product may be the right choice for one team and the wrong choice for another. Recommendations are organized by company size, technical setup, budget, and stage of entry.
Disclose commercial relationships
Affiliate programs, free product access, paid research, implementation work, and sales partnerships are disclosed near the relevant recommendation.
Correct the record
Material errors are corrected with an update note. Product features and program terms are rechecked on a scheduled basis.
